WC CHALLENGE: #19/25

19/25:

The first away kit of the Nike era was worn between June to September 2013, and was only used for 2-games: a friendly against Brazil, and a World Cup preliminary against Ukraine, with England managing a draw in both matches. It included a commemorative logo underneath the emblem celebrating 150 years, from 1863 to 2013. It was the 1st red kit of the Nike era, and in my eyes, the nicest! This was the last kit to feature a collar, which Nike has moved away from in the last few years

I’m wearing #20 with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on, even though he actually wore #16 against Brazil, when he scored the first of Englands 2 goals. So far Oxlade-Chamberlain has made a total of 32 appearances for England, scoring 6 goals. Unfortunately he was injured during Liverpool’s Champions League tie against Roma in April, and was ruled out of the England World Cup squad.

Today's schedule - Round of 16:
Sweden v Switzerland
Colombia v England

Japan gave Belgium a run for their money and did enough to take the game to extra time ... but it wasn't meant to be.
Brazil are looking strong, minus Neymar throwing himself around the pitch!
Hopefully England can put together a good performance against Colombia today and get themselves through to the quarter-finals, where they'd meet Sweden or Switzerland.
